JETGO Australia Airlines wind-up application approved in Supreme Court

6 July, 2018

Australia's Supreme Court approved a wind-up application for JETGO Australia Airlines and the approval of a liquidator, following a request lodged by the Dubbo Regional Council (ABC News/The West Australian, 05-Jul-2018). Dubbo Council said it took legal action against JETGO, which resulted in the carrier entering voluntary administration and cancelling all scheduled operations, as the airline had "significant outstanding fees" of more then AUD400,000 (USD295,000) without any "realistic proposal for payment". JETGO also reportedly owed approximately AUD850,000 (USD627,500) to the City of Karratha.
