JetBlue to expand at Boston Logan, commence fleet transition in 2020

JetBlue Airways announced (07-Jan-2019) plans to achieve 200 daily departures at Boston Logan International Airport in the future. The carrier intends to expand its operations from 24 to 30 gates by 2021, as well as commence transition of its fleet from Embraer E190 aircraft to A220 aircraft in 2020. As previously reported by CAPA, JetBlue signed an MoU with Airbus for 60 firm orders for the A220-300, with deliveries scheduled to commence in 2020.
