Japan Airlines (JAL) plans to deploy Boeing 787 aircraft on domestic routes for the first time in 2019 (Nikkan Koku, 21-Jan-2019). JAL ordered four 787 aircraft configured for domestic operations in Sep-2017 and the aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2019. Domestic 787 operations will centre around Osaka Itami Airport.
