Japan Airlines (JAL) announced (20-Feb-2020) the partial opening of its JAL Smart Airport at Tokyo Haneda Airport, which introduces new equipment such as automatic baggage storage kiosks, to reduce the waiting time for various procedures. The service will be introduced across Tokyo Haneda Airport throughout summer 2020, expanding to Sapporo Chitose Airport from winter 2020/2021 and to Osaka Itami, Fukuoka and Okinawa Naha airports from spring 2021.
