Japan Airlines (JAL) and Vistara announced (22-Feb-2019) a codeshare partnership to open additional routes between India and Tokyo. Vistara becomes JAL's only codeshare partner in India. JAL will codeshare on around 32 Vistara services covering Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune. JAL and Vistara already have an interline through check in partnership. The airlines signed a MoU in Sep-2017 to pursue commercial opportunities. Codeshare sales open on 26-Feb-2019 on all channels and major GDS systems, for travel from 27-Feb-2019.
