Japan Airlines and China Eastern Airlines sign MoU, to apply for joint business agreement

    Japan Airlines (JAL) and China Eastern Airlines signed (02-Aug-2018) a MoU to apply and implement a joint business agreement within FY2019. The agreement plans to include JAL’s domestic network featuring more than 50 cities in Japan and more than 80 on China‘s domestic routes operated by China Eastern. JAL chairman Yoshiharu Ueki believes the partnership “will generate more passenger traffic between the two countries and open up commercial opportunities”. The companies will now review regulatory conditions and apply for a joint business agreement through the authorities.
