Jamaica raises USD3.7 billion in tourism revenues in 2019

    Jamaica‘s Minister of Tourism Edmond Barlett stated Jamaica raised USD3.7 billion in tourism revenue in 2019, an increase of USD500 million year-on-year (Loop Jamaica, 16-Jan-2020). Mr Barlett stated 2019 was “spectacular and exciting”. He stated that the achievement was driven by the Government’s policies which ensured the end of the seasonality of the tourism industry.
