Jamaica: ‘Now we can take in more flights’

Jamaica‘s Prime Minister Andrew Holness, commenting to the privatisation of Kingston Norman Manley International Airport, stated: “I believe the public wants more than anything else is a well managed facility that delivers a service efficiently and at an affordable price-point, so we have to keep engaging the public because there is a short-sighted view of ownership which actually close out the full utilisation of the value of the asset” (Jamaica Observer, 11-Oct-2018). He added: “Now we can take in more flights”. As previously reported by CAPA, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico was awarded the 25 year concession for the airport.
