Ireland's Government stated a decision on the future of Waterford Airport will be made in Jul-2019 (Irish Examiner, 23-Apr-2019). As previously reported by CAPA, the airport has been without commercial services since mid-2016. Management previously submitted a proposal to extend its runway in an attempt to enhance commercial appeal.
