Queensland reports Intl visitors up 12% to 2.8m in year ending Sep-2018

Tourism and Events Queensland reported (09-Jan-2019) 2.8 million international visitors in 12 months ended Sep-2018, an increase of 11.5% year-on-year. International visitors spent AUD5.9 billion (USD4.2 billion), with Queensland's share of international tourist spend in Australia growing more than all other states. "Around 502,000 Chinese tourists spent a record AUD1.4 billion (USD1 billion) in Queensland in the year ending Sep-2018.
