Infraero: Small and medium airports are 'where the State has to operate'

Infraero president Martha Seillier, via her personal LinkedIn account, commented (25-Mar-2019) on the role Infraero has to play in the Brazilian aviation sector, stating: "The 500 airports which today are small will be the medium [airports] of tomorrow as we're still not in a mature aviation market… That's where the State has to operate". Brazil ANAC director Ricardo Bezerra also commented, stating: "This is a niche which Infraero should focus. There are hundreds of airports where cities and states don't have the minimum conditions to maintain open". He added that a "slim and qualified Infraero can maintain and develop such airports".
