IndiGo still plans to commence nonstop services between India and Europe: CEO

IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta reported the LCC does aim to expand its recently signed codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways to offer its passengers connectivity from India to destinations in Europe and the US via Doha, but clarified that IndiGo still plans to commence nonstop services between India and Europe in the medium term (Live Mint/Aviation International News Online/Business Standard/CNBC-TV18/The Hindu BusinessLine, 07-Nov-2019). Mr Dutta stated: "We want to go nonstop to Europe, which is why we have placed orders for A321XLR aircraft". Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker noted: "Qatar has no problem to give onward flying rights to IndiGo".
