IndiGo aims to establish high frequency connectivity between tier two cities in India: CEO

IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta, via the airline's FY2018/2019 financial results conference call, stated (27-May-2019) IndiGo is "dedicated to building [an] air transportation system in India that's second to none". Mr Dutta said the LCC is focusing on establishing high frequency connectivity between tier two cities in India "without going through the metros". He reported IndiGo is in the process of "building this Buddhist Circuit now connecting Gaya, Varanasi and Gorakhpur, which has never been done before.
