ICAO president: More than half the airports in Africa will exceed their current capacity by 2020

ICAO president Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu stated aviation in Africa faces "serious constraints" due to inadequate airport capacity and air traffic management technologies, and a dearth of aviation personnel (Air Transport News, 16-Feb-2018). According to Mr Aliu, more than half the airports in Africa will exceed their current capacity by 2020.
