IATA regional VP the Americas Peter Cerdá said if Latin America fails to address its "urgent infrastructure needs", the region could squander a projected USD42 billion of economic benefits by 2034 (TRBusiness, 29-Mar-2019). Government support to address the shortfalls is "essential", said Mr Cerda.
