IATA: 'If Argentina is not competitive, it will be a complicated market'

IATA regional VP Americas Peter Cerda commented on the consequences to Argentina if the Government does not take measures to assist the aviation sector, stating: "There will be unfortunate consequences and some [international carriers] will not return for a long time" (La Nacion, 29-Apr-2020). Mr Cerda explained: "[The market] will be much smaller and carriers will have to decide where they fly and that will depend on conditions offered by Governments… If Argentina is not competitive, it will be a complicated market".
