IATA: European carriers see fastest pax demand growth of all regions in Dec-2018

IATA reported (28-Feb-2019) carriers based in Europe showed the fastest growing passenger demand of all regions in Dec-2018, with 7.8% RPK growth year-on-year. Despite softening Russia domestic market in late 2018, it sustained a "solid" double digit growth rate of 11.4% by the end of 2018. Slowing RPK growth was also evident across region's main international markets in late 2018, except for Europe-South America market with passenger volumes increasing 10.8% year-on-year.
