IATA: Chinese airfares down 40% in attempt to stimulate demand

IATA reported (05-May-2020) airfares were cut by around 40% in the Chinese domestic market as the COVID-19 lockdown eased, in an attempt to stimulate traffic. Fares averaged USD184 per passenger prior to the lockdown, and were USD84 as of 29-Apr-2020. [more - original PR]
