IATA: A more competitive air transport sector in Poland could generate additional EUR3bn in GDP

IATA released (16-Sep-2019) the Poland Air Transport Regulatory Competitiveness Indicators study, indicating a more competitive air transport sector in Poland could generate an additional EUR3 billion in GDP to the nation's economy by 2037. Poland's air transport industry currently contributes EUR4 billion to the economy. According to the study, to maximise the economic and social benefits, Poland should implement the national airspace strategy, in consultation with users to improve airspace capacity and efficiency, modernise Polish aviation policy and develop a national plan for air transport to prioritise sustainable development of air connectivity and expand intramodality.
