Staffs and Workers Union of Hong Kong Civil Airlines chairman Cheung Shu-wang said Hong Kong Airlines CEO Sun Jianfeng pledged to do everything to avoid staff lay offs (South China Morning Post, 03-Dec-2019). Mr Sun added the carrier would redeploy staff, stop hiring and rely on "natural loss" of employees through turnover.
