Helvetic Airways CEO mulling E195-E2 to improve operational flexibility

27 February, 2020

Helvetic Airways CEO Tobias Pogorevc said discussions are ongoing whether the carrier will incorporate Embraer E195-E2 aircraft (abouttravel.ch/luchvaartnieuws.nl, 27-Feb-2020). The airline has three E190-E2s in service with an order for nine additional E190-E2s and an option to purchase an additional 12 Embraer aircraft. Commenting on the aircraft, Mr Pogorevc said the E195-E2 is "practically unrivaled" in the medium haul 120 to 150 seat category, adding the airline could further increase its operational flexibility by operating a fleet with cockpit common features and different seating capacity to its existing E190s.
