Hawaiian Holdings Main Cabin Basic product exceeds expectations in 4Q2019

3 February, 2020

Hawaiian Holdings SVP for revenue management and network planning Brent Overbeek said the carrier's Main Cabin Basic product was introduced in 4Q2019, with revenue impact above expectations (Seeking Alpha, 30-Jan-2020). Mr Overbeek said the product was released during the booking curve so the revenue impact "wasn't that significant", but noted it is being optimised and is expected to "be at least at the high-end of our USD15 million to USD25 million range for Main Cabin Basic once we reach steady state". Premium Cabin "continued to perform well on international routes", he said, adding its Japanese franchise was able to continue growing, with a "great start in Fukuoka".
