Hawaiian Airlines sees growth potential between Asia and Hawaii: CEO

Hawaiian Airlines president and CEO Peter Ingram stated the carrier sees the potential for continued growth in aviation between Asia and Hawaii, having added service throughout the Asia Pacific region since 2010 (CNBC, 16-Mar-2018). The carrier is “really looking forward” to the opportunity to expand as it brings on the Boeing 787 aircraft from 2020, Mr Ingram said. He also stated change is the “one thing that is constant” in the aviation industry, referring to the evolution in distribution and associated technology. He noted he expects “carriers like us” will have to develop different products on the aircraft in order to “offer the greatest amount of value to a wide range of customers who may have different needs”.
