Hawaiian Airlines hopes to formally launch JV with Japan Airlines in 2019

Hawaiian Airlines CEO Peter Ingram stated the airline, together with Japan Airlines, hope to win approvals for their JV agreement from the relevant governmental authorities in both the US and Japan later in 2018 (Pacific Business News/Seeking Alpha, 25-Jul-2018). Mr Ingram noted they expect be in a position to formally launch the joint venture in 2Q2019. He added: "The customer benefits of this partnership are real, as are the opportunities it creates for Hawaiian and JAL in the years ahead. We look forward to building on this momentum as the year progresses".
