Hawaiian: A321-only route performance ‘right on target’; aircraft to operate 11 routes by YE2018

Hawaiian Airlines president and CEO Peter Ingram stated the airline expects to build “critical” mass with its A321 aircraft in 2H2018, with more A321-only routes to emerge (Seeking Alpha, 24-Jul-2018). Mr Ingram said this will allow the airline to optimise its A330 deployments on long haul routes and larger markets, while enabling the retirement of its remaining 767s. Hawaiian plans to deploy A321s on 11 routes between the US west coast and Hawaii by the end of 2018. Mr Ingram said early results on A321-only routes are “right on target”.
