Hannover Airport CEO Raoul Hille said he hopes TUIfly will consider commencing long haul operations from the airport (Neue Presse, 29-Jan-2020). As previously reported by CAPA, TUIfly has confirmed plans to base two Boeing 787-8 aircraft at Duesseldorf Airport in winter 2020/2021, launching nonstop service to Mexico and the Dominican Republic from Nov-2020. TUIfly operates 10.1% of total weekly seats at Hannover in the week commencing 27-Jan-2020, according to OAG.
