Groupe ADP CEO: VINCI CO2 pricing a 'good idea', ADP already negotiating for its own system

16 January, 2020

Groupe ADP chairman and CEO Augustin de Romanet, in an interview retweeted via the operator's official Twitter account, said (16-Jan-2020) the decision by VINCI Airports to introduce a tariff modulation system based on aircraft emissions is a "good idea", adding ADP is "currently negotiating" with the government regarding the introduction of its own system in Paris (BFMTV, 16-Jan-2020). "Pricing for reducing greenhouse gas emissions is tremendously important... the fact that VINCI is joining this movement is very good news", Mr de Romanet continued. As previously reported by CAPA, ADP announced plans in Apr-2019 to increase airport tariffs by 1.35% p/a from 2021 to 2025, compared with 1% p/a over the 2016-2020 period, and introduce a tariff modulation based on CO2 and Nox emissions and aircraft noise.
