Global Eagle Entertainment SVP aviation solutions Alexis Steinman reported Global Eagle began installation of onboard WiFi systems on Air France medium haul aircraft, with the technology expected to be installed fleet wide by 2020 (runwaygirlnetwork.com, 04-Jan-2018). The Ku-band antenna systems are expected to deliver "incredible speeds" and provide "the highest capacity capable in Europe", according to Mr Steinman.
