Garuda Indonesia aims to reduce losses to less than USD100m in 2018

Garuda Indonesia president and CEO Askhara Danadiputra said the airline aims to reduce losses to less than USD100 million in 2017, stating: "We are determined to reduce our losses by a minimum target of below USD100 million by the end of year" (Reuters/Nikkei/Liputan6.com, 12-Sep-2018). He added: "The current condition is more difficult. The rupiah has depreciated and oil prices are likely to increase". He also said: "The main focus of the new management is... an increase in employee happiness. Because making the employees happy will improve customer service".
