Frontier Airlines and Volaris announced (16-Jan-2017) a new codeshare agreement for US-Mexico services. Codeshare routes still need US and Mexican authorities' approval. The agreement marks the "first ever codeshare agreement between uniquely branded ULCCs". Volaris CEO Enrique Beltranena expects the agreement to benefit Volaris by adding 20 new destinations and 80 new Mexico-US routes.
