Fraport and Deutsche Bahn partner to test AI passenger assistance robotics at Frankfurt Airport

Fraport partnered (08-Apr-2019) with Deutsche Bahn IT service provider DB Systel GmbH to develop and test artificially intelligent passenger assistance robots at Frankfurt Airport. The companies began a six week trial of ‘FRAnny’ at Frankfurt Airport to evaluate functionality, passenger acceptance and practical usefulness in everyday situations. FRAnny is based on an AI and a cloud based voice user interface deployed in a variety of forms including in chatbots, voice assistants and robots. A similar AI based service will launch testing at Berlin central rail station in Jun-2019. [more – original PR]
