Foz do Iguacu increases marketing and promotion budget for 2020 by 47%

Foz do Iguacu Government announced (01-Nov-2019) that it allocated a BRL6.4 million (USD1.6 million) budget for tourism development and BRL950,000 (USD238,100) for studies. Foz do Iguacu Secretary of Tourism Gilmar Piolla stated: "Due to the new services that were attracted, which will generate a 1.2 million increase in seats to Foz do Iguazu… we increased the budget for domestic and international marketing and promotion for 2020". He added: "We need to increase the visibility of the destination to ensure a continuous flow of tourists and a sustainable growth of the sector".
