ForwardKeys, in an analysis of booking transactions following Argentina's currency crisis, reported (19-Jun-2018) the following travel statistics in May-2018:
- Bookings for travel from Argentina to other Latin American countries decreased 26.1% year-on-year;
- Total international outbound bookings decreased 20.4%, having increased 8.4% from Jan-2018 to Apr-2018;
- Chile and Cuba showed the largest decreases in service bookings, down 50.6% and 43.2%;
- Forecasts a 4.9% decrease in travel bookings in Jun-2018, with bookings for Brazil down 9%. [more - original PR]
