FlyPelican to operate Taree-Sydney service, replacing Rex

FlyPelican announced (19-Dec-2017) plans to launch twice daily Taree-Sydney service, effective 29-Jan-2018. Midcoast Council entered a partnership with Pelican Airlines, operating as FlyPelican, which will operate 19 seat British Aerospace Jetstream 32 aircraft on the route. The new service follows the decision of Regional Express (Rex) to suspend Taree-Sydney service, effective 28-Jan-2018, citing losses on the route and issues with airport development and equipment.
