FlyBosnia set to launch scheduled services ‘very soon’

FlyBosnia CEO Chris Gabriel said the carrier plans to launch scheduled services “very soon”, attributing the delay in the launch to the high demand for airport slots (EX YU Aviation News, 13-Apr-2019). The carrier reached a decision to launch scheduled services following the successful operation of a number of charter services from Sarajevo to destinations in the Middle East, as previously reported by CAPA. The carrier also plans to operate charter services for pilgrims in partnership with SoleAir. Mr Gabriel said the carrier plans to take delivery of a second A319 at the end of Apr-2019 and will announce details relating to the delivery of the third and fourth aircraft. He added the carrier plans to increase its fleet to eight aircraft by 2023. The A319-100 already in the carrier’s fleet is owned by AerCap, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
