Finavia to develop trial biometric identification system along northern airport route by 2019

Finavia head of digitalisation operations Matti Lehto reported (12-Jun-2018) the company plans to develop biometric identification systems with a trial connection on northern airport routes by 2019. Mr Lehto said routes from Helsinki to Oulu, Turku or Tampere-Pirkkala "would be most suitable" for the pilot project, as these more often handle frequent business travellers who are used to using technology day-to-day.
