Final layer of Brisbane Airport's new runway to be applied over next three months

Brisbane Airport announced (04-Jul-2019) construction contractor Fulton Hogan commenced applying the final layer of pavement for the airport's new runway. Over the next three months, more than 100,000 tonnes of asphalt will be placed on top of the runway's 2.5m of compacted sand and 600mm layer of fine crushed rock.
