Fiji Airways leases Boeing 737-800 aircraft for temporary 737 MAX cover

Fiji Airways leased (09-Apr-2019) one Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Miami Air due to the temporary global grounding of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Fiji Airways will utilise the aircraft for services between Nadi and Auckland, Apia, Christchurch and Brisbane, operating with Fiji Airways cabin crew and pilots. Fiji Airways will contact business class guests booked on frequencies that will be operated by the leased aircraft to provide travel options as it is equipped with 166 economy class seats in a single cabin configuration.
