Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) reported long haul routes served by Berlin's airports decreased 76% in the past 10 years (airliners.de, 20-Jul-2018). Flughafenverband ADV CEO Ralph Beisel said Germany's aviation market "has some catching up to do in the long haul segment", noting Berlin's long haul offer is "currently not sufficiently developed".
