FAA: Remote identification of drones 'key to maintain security'

2 May, 2018

US FAA, via its official Twitter account, published (01-May-2018) commentary on drones by US FAA deputy associate administrator Angela Stubblefield. Ms Stubblefield said safe, secure airspace integration is "our top priority". She noted the accessibility of drones has also increased concerns around cybersecurity. "Anyone can get a #drone and use it with nefarious intent, the technology is no longer limited to significant Nation State Actors", she said, adding from an FAA perspective, remote identification is "key to maintain security".
