FAA grants temporary slot waivers for seven US airports

11 March, 2020

US FAA announced (11-Mar-2020) the temporary waiver of minimum slot use requirements at seven US airports until 31-May-2020, in order to support US and foreign airlines with services effected by the coronavirus. The FAA expects reciprocal benefits to US carriers by foreign authorities and may not grant a waiver to a foreign carrier whose home jurisdiction does not reciprocate. The waiver applies to New York John F Kennedy International Airport, New York LaGuardia Airport, Washington Ronald Reagan National Airport, Chicago O'Hare International Airport, New York Newark Liberty International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.
