EVA Air optimistic of 2019 performance

EVA Air chairman Steven Lin said the carrier is optimistic about its performance in 2019, as long as the market maintains its growth momentum as forecast by IATA (Taipei Times, 13-Mar-2019). He said Japan demand remains strong. IATA has forecast air traffic growth of 5% to 6% globally, with growth in Asia Pacific region expected to exceed this. Oil prices in 2019 are also expected to be lower than in 2018, according to Mr Lin.
