Eurowings to replace Lufthansa on Duesseldorf-Newark service from 01-Dec-2018

Eurowings announced (20-Sep-2018) plans to commence six times weekly DuesseldorfNew York Newark service with A330aircraft from 01-Dec-2018, replacing Lufthansa on the route. The Newark service will complement Eurowings’ existing service to New York JFK. Eurowings customers in Duesseldorf also benefit from a codeshare agreement with Lufthansa for onward transfers. All Eurowings long haul US operations in summer 2019 will include the carrier’s full flat ‘BIZclass’ product. “Due to the high demand for a Business Class on the route to Newark, Eurowings is using an aircraft with a larger BIZclass on this route, making 30 BIZclass seats available to passengers instead of the previously offered 18”, the carrier confirmed.
