Eurowings reports marginal overall growth for Sep-2019, major long haul reductions

Lufthansa Group announced (11-Oct-2019) Eurowings (including Brussels Airlines) carried around 3.8 million passengers in Sep-2019, including 3.6 million on short haul flights and 264,000 on long haul. Passenger traffic grew 0.3% year-on-year. Sep-2019 capacity declined 4.3%, while RPKs decreased by 4.0%, resulting in an increase of seat load factor by 0.3ppt to 85.6%. Short haul capacity fell by 0.4% and RPKs by 0.6%, while long haul capacity fell 12.7% and RPKs declined 11.5%. Overall Eurowings increased load factor to 85.6%. [more - original PR]
