European LCC airport resurgence broadly similar to full service/hub peers

CAPA – Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: ‘Successful European low cost airports: dealing with the pandemic’, stated (05-Jul-2020) the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has varied from airport to airport in Europe. Some have been slower to begin a recovery phase than others, mainly because they host mainly budget airlines with routes where prospects for resumption are determined by governments. Nevertheless, important LCC airports such as BordeauxLiverpoolBerlin Schoenefeld or Milan Bergamo appear not to have been impacted considerably more adversely than their primary full service/network airline-hosting peers, and their resurgence seems to be taking place at a broadly similar pace.
