EU sees partnership with ASEAN member states as of 'high importance'

European Commission Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) DG Henrik Hololei, in an editorial, stated for the EU, a "close and deep partnership with member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is of high importance" (Jakarta Globe, 04-May-2018). Mr Hololei added: "Our relationship is well defined already by the fact that the European Union is the first investor and second-largest trading partner of ASEAN".
