Ethiopian Airlines media relations team leader Biniyam Demssie said the carrier aims to be the most Chinese friendly airline in Africa, stating "Chinese nationals are very important customers of ours" (Xinhua, 05-Feb-2019). He said the carrier will introduce several initiatives to boost air connectivity between Africa and China. Ethiopian Airlines is the largest airline in Africa-China market, with nonstop services to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and to Hong Kong.
