Emirates to resume Dubai-Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen service in Jun-2018

Emirates confirmed (15-Jan-2018) plans to resume five times weekly Dubai-Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen service on 08-Jun-2018, in addition to existing Dubai-Istanbul Ataturk service. The airline will operate the new service with Boeing 777-300ER equipment configured with eight first class suites, 42 business class and 310 economy class seats. Emirates will be the only airline operating a scheduled service with a widebody aircraft at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport. The service will be timed to enable connections from Istanbul to Australia, Bangkok, Seoul and Shanghai and from China, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia to Istanbul. The carrier will offer 16 frequencies, more than 6500 seats per week and 100 tonnes of cargo capacity per week on Istanbul services.
