Emirates to exercise options for 16 A380s 'sooner rather than later': President

Emirates president Tim Clark commented on the airline's purchase options for 16 A380 aircraft, stating: "We will exercise them sooner rather than later" (Reuters, 12-Apr-2018). The airline ordered 20 A380s with 16 options in Jan-2018. Sir Tim said the airline continues to evaluate engine options for the aircraft, commenting: "There's nothing wrong with Rolls-Royce, but having Engine Alliance come back in again could make life interesting".
