Emirates suspends service to Guangzhou and Shanghai due to coronavirus

Emirates Airline announced (03-Feb-2020) it is scheduled to suspend Guangzhou and Shanghai services, effective 05-Feb-2020 until further notice, due to the outbreak of coronavirus. As previously reported by CAPA, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA UAE) issued a directive for the suspension of all services to and from China, excluding Beijing, effective 05-Feb-2020. Emirates' operations to Beijing will continue as scheduled, however passengers will be subjected to additional medical tests when departing Beijing Capital International Airport from 05-Feb-2020.
